Saffil® fibre-based products are used globally in exhaust emission control systems to protect and insulate fragile catalysed ceramic substrates and diesel
particulate filters. They are also used as a selective reinforcement in light alloy engine parts, replacing steel and cast iron to reduce weight,
increase fuel economy and enhance performance.
Saffil® fibres are also incorporated in engineered products in ceramic, iron and steel, petrochemical and aerospace industries, providing kiln and furnace
insulation in the form of seals, felts, hard-bonded boards and shaped structures for use up to 1600 °C.
Saffil Ltd continues to explore and to develop innovative and environmentally beneficial products and applications for its range of high alumina fibres.
